Hello and welcome!
My name is Thu Ha Küng. I am the artist and designer behind Autumn River Studio. My first name Thu Ha, means Autumn River, hence the name for my little studio. I embarked on my creative journey in 2019, when I wanted to pursue my childhood dream. It’s to create art and share it with everyone!
I reside with my family in Switzerland. We are located in the countryside, where my love for nature is nurtured. I love fauna and flora, especially trees. There is something magical about old and big trees. I am just drawn to them!
I love cute and simple designs, which are well reflected in my work. I try to obtain a classic and timeless feel to my designs. I also love florals, who doesn`t?
The best job in the world!
If I could, I would draw and design all day. Turning my artwork into surface pattern designs is fulfilling. Initially my favorite medium is traditional watercolor paint. Seeing the colors blending in is like experiencing magic, over and over again. However for certain designs, I prefer to draw digitally on Procreate. It allows me to edit my drawings more easily, which is practical.
I am honored to be creating prints for clothing brands by working with countless entrepreneurs from all over the world. One of the most rewarding parts is seeing my designs come to life! To see them made into clothing being worn by children from different countries. Nevertheless, I am as excited about wall papers and various products decorating children’ s rooms across the continents. What more can one ask for?
